This colloquium helped me identify my definition of what a global leader is in depth. An outline of leadership styles was gone over including autocratic, bureaucratic, charismatic, democratic, laissez-faire, and transactional leadership. While everyone has their own style of leadership, the concept of emotionally intelligent leadership is relevant to all as leaders must be conscious of themselves, others, and the context in which they are acting as leaders in. This colloquium made me more able to take on my process of leadership development by solidifying  to me what values and factors are significant to me as a leader. As a leader I value and believe I should demonstrate empathy, loyalty, and dedication to justice.

In relation to my short term and long term goals this colloquium helped show me the values and methods I should be able to use and exhibit as a leader which considers the global context of everything. Becoming a paralegal will require all of these values as well as attending law school. The values in which a good leader should hold remind me of the High Point Furniture Market in which I work in the Spring and Fall as a receptionist. This job requires all of these skills as the company I work for, Nicoletti Calia, is an  Italian company which showcases at the IHFC market. This high end designer furniture company attracts many international customers and requires intercultural knowledge and task management heavily as I must maintain a professional but culturally competent mindset. All of the values below are significant to me and will be in my further career as they aid my overall perspective of the world.
