UNCG hosts an annual i-Fest every year during the Spring. This international festival is wonderful as it hosts booths, food, and performances from many cultures. In Spring of 2017 & 2018 I performed and led a Persian dance group to represent my homeland, Iran.

        Performing and leading a group within this festival really taught me a lot about leadership and how one must use it to manifest their global view. I have a lot of passion for the country my family is from and my involvement in this festival showed me that being proud of where you are from is not just about having pride. It is about putting yourself out there and in the process learning about other cultures to strengthen your understanding of what it means to balance your roles as a global leader but still maintain your own cultural ideals.
