Art History 112: Winter Term 2017
This course focused on the history of Art and how it can often be bias. By providing a background of art in ancient societies found in parts of the world such as South American and Africa, the professor highlighted influential contributions to art from parts of the world which are overlooked.
This class showed me that as a global leader I must strive to advocate the significance of forgotten people and their contributions to the world in protest of a worldview which often leaves out the rich and ancient history of important societies. This will be very important to my future in the Law field as I want to strive to bring justice for my clients.
Academic Experience as a Global Leader
Human Rights History 208: Spring 2017
This course gave an in depth background to how the establishment of human rights came about and changed along the way. It also gave a context to the major historical violations of human rights which sparked movements that ultimately aided the definition of human rights that we have now.
As a global leader this course taught me about how the rights of many all around the world have been taken away. More than anything it showed me that I must work to improve the condition of the world as the fight for human rights is no where close to ending.
Social Problems: A Global Context: Sociology 202: Fall 2015
This course gave an introduction to social problems that exist on a global scale and then focused in on certain instances where these issues can really be seen.
In terms of global leadership, this course provided me with an understanding of how social problems are globally interconnected. This s crucial to understand as a global leader as it makes taking on social change a lot more doable and realistic.
